Why the updates?
[edit]I see some notes about subsequent retirements (and successors) of some cardinals from North America. For example, it's noted that Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles (U.S.) has retired since the conclave, being succeeded by Archbishop Gomez. There should be no need to have that information here. The only information needed here about the cardinal electors is what they were at the time of the conclave. If a cardinal has retired since then, that information will be in that cardinal's individual article here on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.82 (talk) 19:49, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
I have removed such updates. Please consider where they would go, since they're not affecting the conclave of 2005.
