I think that this article is largely covered under cap and trade and is really just an article spawned off the same topic, no? - in other words, wouldn't it be better to have one complete, better organized article, than five or six related but in many ways redundant articles?
Hi User:Dawkin Verbier, thanks for your edits to this article. Could you explain a bit more what changes you have made? In your edit summary you mostly wrote "copy edits" but I think it was more than that as the overall amount of text was rather drastically reduced. I am not saying it was wrong but I'd just like to follow your thought process a bit more. Also, what do you see as the remaining weaknesses and to-dos for this article? Some of the information in the article before my edits were made a while ago and has been outdated since. I also found that across the article, there were a number of sections that repeated the content of others, possibly because of different editors inserting content without reviewing the rest of the page. This was quite prominent in the discussion about the allocation of carbon permits. There were also a number of statements that were overly specific, unsourced, or backed by a non-notable source. Overall I don't think I changed the article that much, just re-sectioning and trimming. Dawkin Verbier (talk) 05:46, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
