Day of birth
[edit]A source for Gee's day of birth as July 18 was just provided to the article, here:
- The Expanse Writers [@TheExpanseWR] (July 18, 2017). "Wishing this incredible woman-tough as tungsten babe-a very Happy Birthday! @CaraGeeeee We're so lucky to have as Drummer #TheExpanse" (Tweet). Retrieved July 22, 2017 – via Twitter.
However, a day of birth in an article without a year of birth is pointless, so removing for now. (Basically, as per WP:BLPPRIVACY...) --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:27, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- Would you mind explaining that BLPPRIVACY point please? Cara herself retweeted the writers room, and has been liking fan comments wishing her a Happy Birthday. I don't see how privacy comes into it, she clearly doesn't care that the shows Twitter accounts posted her Birthday wishes. As per [1] 86.14.52.151 (talk) 21:35, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- She may not care that her day of birth is known. But it seems likely that she doesn't want her year of birth known (hence WP:BLPPRIVACY). And on Wikipedia, we generally only publish full dates-of-birth, or just the year-of-birth – days-of-birth with no year are generally not done. Pinging Geraldo Perez to this in case he cares to comment... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:40, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- I agree with IJBall about this. She's basically saying thanks for the wishes without confirming or denying anything. Without a year birthdate is pointless as age is what really matters. A circa year with some justification would be OK but there has to be plausible support for it. Geraldo Perez (talk) 23:11, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
- Agreed. If we don't know and can't source the year of birth, then just month and day has exactly zero value as a piece of substantive or useful information. It's either full birthdate with year or no birthdate information at all, not "month and day without year". Bearcat (talk) 23:41, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

Year typo
[edit]How could Cara Gee work on the Expanse in 2023 if it was cancelled and showed the last episodes of season 6 in 2022 ? Either the 2023 date is inaccurate or there will be a seventh season of The Expanse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.248.136.45 (talk) 05:52, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- Fixed typo in prose. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 12:28, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
Ancestry
[edit]If Gee is part Ojibwe, what makes up the other part(s) of her ancestry? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 22:36, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
