The article is dubious and needs to be cleaned and renamed.
[edit]This whole article is dubious. No actual historians mention this battle as Jat vs Mughals or capture of Delhi. This was Part of Safdar Jung's rebellion and Jats were his subordinates. Some half cooked sources are used to boast some achievement which was not there. Even Safdar Jung cound not capture Delhi. They only looted the suburbs of in which Jats also took part as they were fighting on behalf of Safdar Jung. Hiensrt (talk) 21:57, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
- [1] read from Page 233 to 249, the whole campaign is described with minute detail by famed Historian Jadunath Sarkar. The whole campaign is Safdar Jung's rebellion where his men including Jats under him loots suburbs of Delhi at the time called Old Delhi because New Delhi was the walled city built by Shah Jahan almost one and half century ago. In the end Safdar Jung could not capture the city and had to leave because the war became a stalemate as Imperialist also defeated the rebel army of Safdar Jung in many skirmishes outside the wall. - Marked as WP:PROD, see here [2] the full story of attack on delhi by Safdarjung from which this fake article is created.Hiensrt (talk) 19:08, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
I have moved the page after reading your points. Do make improvements if you can. Ranadhira (talk) 10:47, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Page be moved to Safdarjung's rebellion
[edit]This page should be moved to Safdarjung's rebellion, this highly insignificant instance was part of that rebellion which dont have its own standalone article, while castecruft puffery of certain people made article on some looting. Hiensrt (talk) 18:59, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
Infobox "Result"
[edit]Please note that Template:Infobox military conflict#Parameters states against "result" that "this parameter may use one of two standard terms: "X victory" or "Inconclusive"." The infobox has been amended to reflect this. Please read the template "result" guidance in full before amending or reverting. It would probably be best to discuss any proposed change here first to seek consensus. Thanks. Gog the Mild (talk) 19:56, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
