Necessary?

[edit]

Was forking this content really necessary? I would have preferred to see an attempt at consensus-gathering before going ahead and doing this. Powers T 13:06, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize if this was against others' wishes. I was being bold. I saw the length of the information that was embedded in the Captain Hook article, and felt that it deserved its own article, as some of the other Disney Villains have. Cactusjump (talk) 16:08, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, boldness is fine, but sometimes changes of this magnitude make it hard to carry out the rest of the Bold, revert, discuss cycle. If this had been a minor change, I would have just reverted it, but it was a multi-step change, and if consensus is to go ahead with it, reverting is a huge waste of time. For complex changes, it's thus usually better to discuss first. Rather than reverting, I think I'm going to start a merge discussion. Powers T 12:34, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. I feel that with the amount of information on just the Disney version, a separate article was necessary. The Captain Hook article is rather lengthy, and this seemed like a good way to segment it. Again, I apologize if this is against others' wishes. I just felt that along with a lot of other Disney villains, Hook had enough to establish his own article. Cactusjump (talk) 17:32, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is a shame. It was not the right before the film. Both Pinochio and Peter Pan also read have their templates bad effect brought. Not all movies are Diney scrap, but this version of Hook is an insult to all the "Peter Pan" fans (and there are surprisingly many). Perhaps even the British undertone. The Americans had the magic of the originals not imagine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.164.86.212 (talk) 22:56, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No it's Not an Insult! THEY ARE DISNEY, But This should not have it's own Article. this should be merged with the Captain James Hook Article. Disney would not have wanted it this way, i say this should be merged with the Captain Hook Article! So how do i merge these two? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.7.204.215 (talk) 08:03, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The merge discussion is over here. Powers T 14:40, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
