Not long
[edit]The middle of the article characterizes caprylic acid as a "long chain fatty acid" by no definition I know is a 8 carbon chain a long chain acid. It is also asserted that it is difficult to absorb because of this, an 8 carbon FA should be easier to absorb that most of the fats we normally digest.
- Been fixed. Most refs call it a "medium chain" FA. - Rod57 (talk) 01:34, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
Antifungal
[edit]If some one can cover why this substance is antifungal and what evidence there is that it actually is, that would be appreciated.
Alternative medical use for Alzheimers
[edit]It (from coconut oil), seems to be used for Alzheimers disease. - Rod57 (talk) 01:34, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
Yes, but show us the benefits vs. regular MCT oil or regular coconut oil. And which dose has been proven effective.
