The network statement
[edit]The network was never known as those mentioned. Those mentioned owned by GCAP Media PLC and GWR Group PLC had different stations within the cluster. It would therefore be in accurate to infer the Capital FM Network is the Hit Network because it is very different.JasonBournes1 (talk) 16:02, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Capital brand insertion in songs
[edit]I noticed this isn't mentioned here, but one sort of running joke/easter egg Capital is known for is inserting their name into special radio versions of songs. 2 notable examples are "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga, and "Cheap Thrills" by Sia. In the former, the first instance of "Capital H-I-M" is replaced with "Capital FM", and in the latter, "Come on, come on, turn the radio on" is replaced with "turn Capital on". I found a source for the latter example, most likely because multiple stations in multiple countries did this, but it's something that Capital are well known for doing, at least here in the UK. Obviously, proper sources would be needed if this were decided to be notable enough to include, but in terms of notability itself, would this be worth mentioning?
