Article is terrible

This article is terrible, I tried to make it a little nicer but apparently the wiktators weren't having any of that. Too bad. If the guy who reverted my edits sees this, I want him to answer why the Boer page saying "1.5 million Boers" and the Afrikaner page saying "3.6 million Afrikaners" doesn't allow the Cape Dutch page to say "2.1 million Cape Dutch" when it is clear if you have two groups, one with a certain population known and another with population unknown but you know their combined total known pop, then shouldn't the known pop subtracted from the combined total known pop clearly be the answer?

Article is not only terrible, it is a lot of nonsense

While agreeing that there was a time when Afrikaans speakers in the Cape and the Boer Republics had different sentiments, the notion that there is a difference between Boer and Afrikaner is only believed by a tiny splinter group of the overall Afrikaans population. Why these people should be given a forum to propagate this silly idea on Wikipedia, I would not know. I have researched my own family history to the core and there were Free State Boers, Eastern Border Boers and "Cape Dutch" among the first generations of our family in South Africa. During the Anglo-Boer War an uncle of my father was shot by the English for being a Cape rebel -- while some of his cousins were still living in the vicinity of Cape Town and others were deep in the interior.
