[edit]Could somebody make a couple changes to the information about the Cape Class 47'MLB? I'm an engineer with the CCG on the Pacific side of things, working relief at the lifeboat stations. I don't have a clue about how to change things in Wikipedia though. The boats on the west coast certainly do not have any kind of mounts for weaponry. Also, the engines used in our boats are 3196 Cats in the phase 1 and 2 boats. The phase 3 boats, recently launched, have Cat C12 engines. The two crew members who have specialised SAR training are referred to as "Rescue Specialists", not SAR Technicians (A military designation not used by CCG) If you need confirmation of anything, or would like further information, I can be contacted at colin.l.mcrae at gmail.com --198.103.39.132 (talk) 22:44, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
This article is a bit outdated since the 5 new ships have been delivered by the Victoria Shipyard [1][dead link ] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeff1308 (talk • contribs) 19:39, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
I made this reversion because the first sentence of an article is special, and we don't put a wikilink in the article's actual title, in the first sentence. This particular wikilink was duplicated a few sentences later, anyhow. Geo Swan (talk) 21:19, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
I restored the original wikilink of motor life boat. Someone changed that to Lifeboat (rescue) -- a mistake in my opinion, because the earliest rescue lifeboats were not motor-powered.
I reverted the unlinking of [[Canadian Coast Guard Arun-class lifeboats -- a frankly indefensible unlinking.
I restored the wikilinking of Marine Log -- a WP:RS. Geo Swan (talk) 21:35, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Addition of Image column to list table
[edit]Hello Everyone:
Over time, Wikimedia Commons has collected images many of the 36 Cape-class motor lifeboats of the Canadian Coast Guard.
In the interest of improving the visual layout of the “Class list and distribution” list, I am considering incorporating an image column into the table and filling it with as many of the 36 vessel images as are available in Commons. It would be similar to what has been done at topic - Fireboats of Vancouver.
If any editor of this topic sees a problem in doing so, please let me know.
