From 1985 when I was there, Adoption of the Spartans and the green and white colors had already been established. 184.101.35.111 (talk) 06:16, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

I can also confirm that the Spartans had already been adopted when I was there starting in February of 1985.
[edit]I specifically remember the LABS handbook was green with the helmet of a Spartan on the front in white. LABS was an acronym for Learning, Accepting, Building, Sharing which were the four regular "levels". After finishing Orientation (wearing a Red Shirt) or Reorientation (Yellow) you would be assigned to a cottage other than Wilbur where you would receive a green collared shirt with Arizona Boys ranch printed over the left breast. All levels except for the two mentioned previously wore the green shirt. I believe the Spartans were introduced by Bob Thomas, the then CEO of boys ranch. I had already been finished with this place (1988) and long gone by the time Frank Kush was hired so this was definitely before then. 174.17.34.172 (talk) 18:01, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
