Japan vs. Taiwan

I have been wondering the same myself. In fact, I have not seen any information on any of canons websites that back up that statement. Though, I thought that all glass in canon lenses was made in japan, only the assembly of the lenses was done else where. It is a bit puzzeling. Nebrot (talk) 10:06, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lenz chartz

I think it's about time that there was a lens chart made for this article. There are three variants of this lens model, so I think it warranted. I might get to it... eventually, but if somebody feels up to it, go for it. Reads like a Review

This article reads more like a review of the two lenses covered, rather than an encyclopaedia article. I don't claim to know much about photography, but surely detailed discussion of image quality including "noticable" artefacts in images produced, and "acceptable sharpness" (acceptable to who??) is a subjective review of the product, and is not appropriate for an encyclopaedia? 86.146.131.96 (talk) 17:23, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The "DC" model

There's a lens called "EF-S 18-55mm DC" on the markets now too. Haven't researched it much so I'm not sure if it's just one of the previous models rebranded or a new revision. At the very least it appears not to have IS. -Uusijani (talk) 16:32, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
