Hey, why is this up for deletion? It´s an extra article for the results like it is here on wikipedia for most of the sports of the youth olympics, so please... Kante4 (talk) 12:51, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Then we should delete all the results from all sporting events that have happened as you say or? Other deletions were declined already. Kante4 (talk) 12:57, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If a page includes nothing but the otherwise non-notable results of a sporting event, I fail to see how that is appropriate for Wikipedia. If a proposed deletion has already been declined then the page can go up for AfD. If the consensus after that is that the content is appropriate then I will respect that decision. --Korruski (talk) 13:00, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I just think, that pages with the results of sporting events could be interesting for users who wants to see what happened in the progress of this specific event. Kante4 (talk) 13:02, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Presumably that is what the official website is for? The fact that something might be interesting does not necessarily mean it belongs on WP. I understand your point of view, but my feeling is that simply listing the results of sporting events (of which there are many as notable or more notable than this) is not encyclopedic. --Korruski (talk) 13:04, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Understand that too, sure. But when there are the result pages for other sports of the olympics, why not others (every) too? ;-) Kante4 (talk) 13:07, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's not that I object to this page more than any other, it's just that this is the first one I saw :p I will get to the others eventually. That said, it's pretty clear that you contest this deletion, so perhaps it would be better if I removed the prod and put this as AfD? I will do that now. --Korruski (talk) 13:09, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Haha. Fair enough. Don't worry, it's nothing personal! Just my opinion of what is appropriate for WP, and if the AfD discussion suggests I'm wrong then that's ok with me. --Korruski (talk) 13:14, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
