Out of date information?
[edit]Section Titled "Charter Amendment of 1974" states,
"On April 2, 1974, voters in Ann Arbor overruled the council's decision by amending the city charter with the famous Section 16.2, which, in somewhat altered form, remains in effect today.[10]"
The citation provided in support of this statement is:
Marwil, Jonathan (1990), A History of Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press, pp. 161–162.
I don't believe that it's reasonable to state that the Section "remains in effect today" when the citation is almost 30 years old as of the day that I accessed this page, May 10, 2018.
I am unable to find any current reference to any marijuana ordinances or laws in the City Municipal Code that do not pertain to Medical Marijuana.
I recommend that this section be researched and rewritten to reflect correct information, with an effective date stamp to avoid any future confusion.
I welcome discussion this topic, and if there are Wikipedians out there who have the expertise to make the appropriate updates, I invite them to do so. If not, I will try to find up to date information that can replace the information that is currently in the article, or at the very least provide a more recent citation of evidence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:401:3:1219:8462:87B9:A585:BE11 (talk) 01:37, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
