How is the species separation of the subspecies of Cannabis sativa up for discussion? The cultivars of Cannabis sativa (often colloquially categorized into "sativa" and "indica") readily interbreed and give fertile offspring. They are by definition the same species.

As far as I know Cannabis Sativa and Cannabis Indica are distinct and not the same, I don't think that they should be merged. ShellPandey (talk) 16:10, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
