Candyman (franchise) → Candyman (film series) – Per WP:NCFILM, the disambiguator "(franchise)" should only be used for multimedia franchises. This is just a film series article. The novelization and a comic adaptation of the first film are too minor for this to be considered a fully-blown franchise. 212.135.65.247 (talk) 13:38, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom. A novelisation and comic adaptation of the original film—neither of which get any coverage—is insufficient to make this a "franchise". PC78 (talk) 08:12, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- postpone - if the new movie is a reboot or start of a new "film series" unconnected with the other one, that makes the entire thing a franchise. -- Netoholic @ 03:12, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
- Nope, it would still not be a multimedia franchise. 212.135.65.247 (talk) 09:59, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support The films are the main topic of the article. Dimadick (talk) 10:56, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
- NOTE If this ends up being moved, please try to make sure it's main category Category:Candyman (franchise) gets moved to Category:Candyman (film series) as well.★Trekker (talk) 14:17, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hey guys, quick note - it looks like there was a board game based on the movie. This could technically push it into franchise territory. What say you, @Dimadick, Netoholic, PC78, and 212.135.65.247:? ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 18:13, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- I suppose the question with this is whether or not this was ever commercially released or not. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 18:15, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- Looks like it's probably no - it's referred to as a promotional item. Still worth putting in the page, even if it's an interesting little extra tidbit and not necessary a franchise maker. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 18:26, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- I'd say that was still too minor to make this anything other than a film series. 212.135.65.247 (talk) 08:26, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
- Fair enough! ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 20:02, 25 October 2019 (UTC)

- Support. Seems clearer as to what the article really refers to. "Franchise" works when there are notable releases in other types of media, which doesn't seem to be the case here.--Cúchullain t/c 13:56, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
