History
[edit]The history section has been expanded to provide the detail of the club’s history. Parts of this section include adapted articles by other authors that, although are referenced in the text, should be further recognised as major sources:
- Howe, A.; History of Canberra Cosmos; http://www.ozfootball.net/ark/NSLclubs/CCHist.html
- Author Unknown; Clubs in Crisis – Soccer Australia; http://www.clubsincrisis.com/australia.asp
- Behrens, C.; Canberra Cosmos FC Report for Soccer Canberra; March 2003; retrieved from http://www.capitalfootball.com.au —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tomperc (talk • contribs) 03:22, 7 February 2007 (UTC).
Youth Side
[edit]Article says the Cosmos formed a relationship with the AIS, but from memory it was the ACT Academy of Sport (or ACTAS) side playing in the National Youth League that acted as the Cosmos' 'youth side'. I don't think the AIS ever had a formal relationship with the Cosmos.

- Actually, in its last season (2000/01), the Cosmos did field a team in the then Northern National Youth League. Will add details to the article soon. - 121.223.198.175 (talk) 11:19, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Notable players
[edit]For the purposes of being a notable Cosmos player, I've taken a criteria that a player must have either made 50 appearances for the club or be a full international, or made some other significant contribution to the club. The most notable have a short blurb, while any others meeting this criteria are just listed.
The addition of:
- Marcus Phillips (footballer) (2000-01) 24 apps 0 goals
- Brian Hamilton (footballer) (1999-00) 27 apps 1 goal
- Gordon Hunter (footballer, born 1967) 28 games 2 goals [[1]
- David Winnie (1999-00) 23 apps 1 goal
are all for players outside this criteria. Other than being non-Australian, I wouldn't say they are notable (and none have their own article) and so have dropped them from the list. - Tomperc (talk) 22:40, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
The name Alex Castro is linking to the wrong guy (a Filipino actor ??)
