[edit]Canary wood typically has a yellowish color with streaks of orange red and even white and black. Often used when making fine wood pens.
The canary wood that is used for turning (pens, vases, etc) and has the coloration described above is from Family: Fabacea Genus: Centroloblum Species: Orinocense The wood is an exotic sparsely populating Central America.
