Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because...
Other lakes that are part of the Kawartha Lakes region have their own wiki page, e.g. Balsam Lake, Mitchell Lake, 4 Mile Lake, Sturgeon Lake, Cameron Lake, etc. There is no current wiki page that contains any detailed information on Canal Lake, e.g. dimensions, depth, fishing information, lock information and other historical information that is unique to Canal Lake. My hope is that this will inspire residents and visitors to contribute more information about Canal Lake specifically. There are several websites that talk about Canal Lake and it is my hope that all the information is consolidated on wikipedia and that wikipedia be the source of truth for all other pages/references to Canal Lake. We hope this convinces you to post this page on wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AudreyColantonio (talk • contribs) 00:51, June 2, 2014
