Moved to Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery. See general agreement below to move away from the current title. Also see consensus to rename back to the original article title. Kudos to editors for your input, and Happy Publishing! (nac by page mover) P. I. Ellsworth, ed. put'r there 13:05, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

Parliamentary Press Gallery (Canada) → Parliamentary Press Gallery – No disambiguation required. 142.161.83.66 (talk) 05:00, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:03, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- Many nations' parliaments and similar organizations have somewhere where newspaper reporters can watch the proceedings. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:05, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- Is there another article that you think might be able to qualify as a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC or that otherwise would require disambiguation from this one, Anthony Appleyard? 142.161.83.66 (talk) 05:07, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- Comment Some background: article was created in 2007 at Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery, then quickly moved to Parliamentary Press Gallery without comment. In 2012, User:Willwal moved the page to its current title, Parliamentary Press Gallery (Canada) with edit summary "Also a Parliamentary Press Gallery in other countries, e.g. UK". - Move to Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery (the article's original title from way back). I think there are legitimate precision concerns with "Parliamentary Press Gallery", even if there are no other existing Wikipedia articles that contend for that title - for example, a google search for
site:bbc.com "Parliamentary Press Gallery"
turns up at least a handful of articles talking about press galleries in the UK or elsewhere. I think the original title beats the current title with parenthetical disambiguator on WP:NATURALNESS grounds. Colin M (talk) 06:07, 21 August 2019 (UTC) - Oppose and Move to Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery (the article's original title from way back). In ictu oculi (talk) 20:52, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose and keep the existing title. Parenthetical modifiers are generally preferred to a preceding geographic qualifier in Library and Information Science circles. Doug Mehus (talk) 17:45, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose to avoid confusion with others such as one in the UK (https://pressgallery.org.uk/). It can be moved to Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery as that is the full version of its name as used on its website. Peter James (talk) 18:02, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
