Advisory Circulars

[edit]

I just took a look through the new links in the Advisory Circulars section, and it would seem that as of 2008, TC is putting all of these under a single system whereby the numbering links in with the CARs. This is most obvious with the link to the Aircraft Maintenance and Manufacturing Policy Letters, which states that 2008 is the cut-off and provides a link to the new section. The other links that are listed still go to/show the original document set, but it would appear that these too will eventually be incorporated in the new system. The new link is: http://www.tc.gc.ca/CivilAviation/IMSdoc/ACs/menu.htm; this section will have to be revised soon, but while the TC site is in transition, perhaps it should wait.... Makes sense to me - once the existing refs no longer work we will have to track down the new locations for them. It is a good idea for TC to put them all in one place - the current system is really poor if you are looking for guidance material but aren't sure if it would be in a GAAC, MPL or CBAC. TC Regulatory Affairs had promised us this would have been done four years ago, but better late than never! - Ahunt (talk) 23:10, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
