Freight lines
[edit]All of Wikipedias UK rail data seem to be passenger based. What about currently freight lines like this. The LNWR tag is wrong as is the disused railway. Disused or even current goods stations do not seem to be covered at all.--MinedOutOffHisPiste 00:49, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's a good point - you should consider raising it at Wikipedia:WikiProject_UK_Railways. Mtpt 18:49, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Length
[edit]According to Quail 4.41A (2ed ISBN 0954986601), Edge Hill station to Bootle Branch Junction is 0-47, Bootle Branch Junction to the crossover is 5-04, from the crossover to Oriel Road station is 0-30. It contains a reference to 4-49 former Atlantic Dock Jn (to Canada Dock).
Route diagram amendment
[edit]I've tweaked the route diagram template, to more accurately reflect the actual layout at the Bootle end of the branch(es). If someone could check that I've got it right, it would be appreciated! - Quackdave (talk) 18:33, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Future
[edit]Deleted major section which appeared to be a highly speculative bit of blogging. See Wikipedia: What Wikipedia is notNankai (talk) 02:36, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- I think the author of that propaganda has moved on from Wikipedia to some of the Liverpool Wiki articles: Example A, Example B. I'm still unsure whether the first two sentences of this section are fact, speculation, or even necessary in this article. Raywil (talk) 21:35, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Your thoughts on renaming the page
[edit]It seems that Network Rail refer to this line as the 'Bootle Branch' rather than than 'Canada Dock Branch', what are peoples' thoughts on renaming the article to match? LicenceToCrenellate (talk) 17:10, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
