What subspecies is this?

[edit]

Is it a Canis lupus familiaris or a Canis lupus dingo?

Dispersed by Romans?

[edit]

On many dog breed websites, it says that the Canaan dog was used by the Israelites to herd and guard, but the dogs were dispersed into the Negev Desert after the Romans invaded Israel and dispersed the Israelites 2000 years ago. How true is this? (Some other websites omit this part.) Should this be added to the article? --194.168.169.164 (talk) 15:24, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to using WP:RELIABLE sources rather than using something that you may have read on a website. William Harristalk 08:55, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unidentified reference

[edit]

There are some references that are just a plain link, but to an identifiable website (e.g. [3] that refers to Britannica). However, [4] refers to an archived copy of an article from an unidentified source (there's no journal name nor publisher), and I failed to find the article elsewhere online. I believe it should be removed or replaced with another reference, if found. The-herod (talk) 11:21, 22 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
