- According to this Zeit article from 1964 the Campingkirche was hardly established in the 80s by the archdiocese Paderborn. I have no idea what standing "Campingkirchen" have in German churches but it seems to me that they are rather events than organizations and as such hardly notable. - This should be the place to talk about it since we are mainly concerned with this matter now. I admit there might be something to it that might establish notability but certainly not the way the article is written now. As I see it, Campingkirche is just a term for an event SEVERAL churches have regularly. It is neither an organization nor was it originally created in Paderborn. - This is a Wiki. This article is only a start. You've found a source from 1964. I guess, this is old enough to show the notability of the article. Please feel free to add some information about it after the tag is removed. Best --Weissmann (talk) 14:37, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- If there is to be an article about it it should read like:
Campingkirche (German for camping church) is an event held (annually?) by many churches in Germany. Its goal is to ... (I don't know what its goal is). It usually spans a time of ... and typically includes... (dunno - service and barbecue?) The idea was first introduced by ... (obviously not Paderborn). Notable Campingkirchen are held at ... (maybe Paderborn?, ...).
- My point is that as the article is now it is far from neutral and gives a wrong impression of the word. Gunnar Hendrich (talk) 14:49, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- That's the problem. It is wrong to translate Campingkirche in another language. The correct term is Campingkirche Erzbistum Paderborn as you can see here. I hope this gives you a better impression of the organization. --Weissmann (talk) 15:02, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Then the article would have to be called "Campingkirche Erzbistum Paderborn" - and that is where notability will become an issue again. While the general term might be noteworthy, relating to the Paderborn diocese it is most likely not. Gunnar Hendrich (talk) 15:25, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

- Campingkirche is a German term for church service during summer holiday. The Lutheran and Roman Catholic churches in Germany offer spiritual guidance and curch services on campsites. [1] [2] Some offers are existing for more than 25 years. [3]

This will be better than the now existing article. But it's written on a very short notice and I don't think I want to spend more time on it. Sebastian scha. (talk) 20:59, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
