Hello
[edit]User ReyBrujo suggested I post here. I would like to add a link to www.lrfaq.org to the Camel Trophy page. Aside from Camel Trophy using Land Rovers in all the events except 1981, we have several Camel Trophy specific pages on our site:
Camel Trophy history: http://www.lrfaq.org/FAQ.6.CamelTrophy.html
Camel Trophy Book Listing: http://www.lrfaq.org/FAQ.5.publications.html
Camel Trophy Book Review: http://www.lrfaq.org/Reviews/tmills_9.html
Camel Trophy Video Review: http://www.lrfaq.org/Reviews/tmills_14.html
Camel Trophy Humor (scroll down a bit for this one): http://www.lrfaq.org/FAQ.6.taylorFAQ.html
Rey removed the link I added to the Camel Trophy page as he felt it was not relavant, but he replied that since he was not familiar with the topic that I should post the request here. We are members of the Ottawa Valley Land Rovers club, and are big fans of Camel Trophy as it has such a strong connection with Land Rovers. Hopefully those editing the page will feel the same and replace the link.
Thanks!

quote
[edit]"We have enjoyed a unique relationship with the Camel Trophy event over almost two decades and it has played a major role in sustaining the image of Land Rover as the manufacturer of the best 4x4's in the world. However, with the changing character of the event it will no longer provide us with an active demonstration of Land Rover's brand essence - limitless capability. We wish Camel Trophy every success with their new format. As for Land Rover, future activities will concentrate on our customer base with the emphasis very much on rugged off-road adventure." Martin Runnacles, Rover Group Marketing Director
-Yes, because aside from the defender, which isn't sold in the US, Land Rover sells nothing but glorified oversized vans. --129.72.160.153 (talk) 01:14, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
