Added map and further information
[edit]I've added a map. If anyone spots any mistakes then correct them please, don't just delete the map, its source is easily available and is listed. Also I've added information on the continuation of the Cambrians into Shropshire. The Shropshire hills clearly form a part of the Cambrians or at least parts of the mountains of Central Wales, political boundaries cannot be allowed to re-draw physical geography, and it is quite clear from the map (which highlights the Cambrians and the border) that the Shropshire hills are a continuation of them. Kentynet (talk) 17:13, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry Kentynet - I have to challenge the assertion that the Cambrian Mountains includes what is now the Shropshire Hills AONB - if you can find evidence to back that up then fine let's include them but until then let's not include a disparate array of English hills within the Cambrian Mountains. And I can't edit the map - it ought to be changed to reflect the more commonly accepted extent of the Cambrian Mountains - or deleted! cheers Geopersona (talk) 06:47, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that the map is misleading. The term "Cambrian Mountains", in my view, is not usually used, nowadays, to cover all the uplands of Wales (and Shropshire!). Essentially, it is used to cover the mountains of mid Wales, between Snowdonia in the north and the Brecon Beacons in the south - or even a smaller and more specific area, such as that covered by the Cambrian Mountains Society, "the geographically homogeneous Mid Wales uplands of Pumlumon, Elenydd, and Mynydd Mallaen". The article needs to be rewritten to clarify the different meanings of the term and focus on the core area. Ghmyrtle (talk) 07:01, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
