Article rating
[edit]I have rated this article as High importance, but have a niggling feeling that it could qualify as Top importance. In the world of Mining Engineering, CSM is an institution of world class and renown, but of course to anyone unfamiliar with the discipline it may seem like an obscure provincial college. Any thoughts? The article does need work, particularly references establishing CSM's position in the mining world. DuncanHill (talk) 00:47, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Proposed Merger of Associateship of the Camborne School of Mines into Camborne School of Mines
[edit]It has been proposed to merge the Associateship article into the main article for CSM. Comments and thoughts below please:
- Neutral I have no strong feeling either way, but the ACSM article does need references supporting its standing in mining engineering circles. I suspect that these are more likely to be found in print sources rather than online. DuncanHill (talk) 01:02, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- merge they are simply two sides of the same coin; it is difficult to see how the associate article could serve any useful purpose that would not be better served by inclusion in the main article. Abtract (talk) 18:17, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- status quo There a great deal of info that could be added to the Associateship of the Camborne School of Mines page. The Associateship of the Camborne School of Mines is inderpendant from the school and university and as a result would be better off on its own.Cheveney (talk) 10:17, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- Merge: While they are technically separate, the Associateship would not exist without its parent. Either way, I'm breathing some life into this discussion, as it's been dead since early 2008 (and working since 2007). -- Matthew Glennon (T/C\D) 17:50, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Since all the content from that article has been in this one for several years now, and that is and was likely to remain, an unreferenced stub, I've converted it into a redirect, per the above proposal. —SMALLJIM 23:46, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Repair University Infobox
[edit]I have repaired the infobox following the loss of the CSM crest, I have uploaded a copy of the crest that I created back in 2003 when I was a student at the school Cheveney (talk) 10:17, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
