Social behavior and interactions

[edit]

Hello! I read this page and realized that even though the Wikipedia authors have addressed aggression and reproduction in great detail, social behavior was largely absent. Is this as a result of such natural aggressive tendencies, or is the information missing? Readers may make the assumption that if the information on social behavior is not present, then they do not exhibit it: I for one am unsure of if this is true or not, but I think adding this to the article would be incredibly value.e I also have listed 3 other categories that would benefit the page if included: Habitat/environment: This is included in the introduction, but I feel as if it deserves its own section considering the ecological threats it is facing due to global warming. Calls: the page mentions several different calls for breeding and for aggressive interactions, but it is woven into different sections. I think a complete separate section would be more beneficial, since it would allow readers to fully see all their unique calls in one location on the page. Captivity: The page mentions that part of the reason that this species has a “vulnerable status” is due to human consumption and sale to the pet trade. If these toads are being kept as pets, information about where, why, and best practices to take care of (or warnings against keeping them as pets).

Thanks all! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gracedekoker (talkcontribs) 04:29, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
