Please Update
[edit]Currently, it says the church is 39th on the list of largest US churches. That was in 2007. The church does not make it on the 2013 list of the top 100 churches. Founding Pastors
[edit]Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa was started in 1961 by Floyd and Lois Nelson who were Four Square Ministers. They left the denomination just before the church started. Chuck Smith became pastor in 1965. So Chuck Smith was not the founding pastor. He was appointed pastor after the board voted out Rev's Floyd and Lois Nelson. 66.74.128.231 (talk) 04:06, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
