Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Mangalia. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

It is due to blatant racism, that the gypsy origin of the name of the city is being redacted out. Non-romanian wikipedians, please, help us stop this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.17.255.93 (talk) 04:52, 11 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request of a better History part

[edit]

It doesn’t talk about its modern history nor how it became part of Romania 5.88.238.55 (talk) 20:37, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I added the section. It is largely a translation from the Romanian version of the page, plus a few things from the French wiki page and the page about the Crimean War. The cholera claim is from Page 70 of the book "Prelude to Blitzkrieg: The 1916 Austro-German Campaign in Romania". I would like to kindly request to reinstate the information. --Dynamo128 (talk) 20:25, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Reinstate it, sure, but with proper citations and stuff. This is how articles written in 2023 look like — notice how every bit of information is cited and retrievable from reliable published sources? — Biruitorul Talk 21:24, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not every page has proper citations, which doesn't mean the information provided is worthless. That being said, I understand there is a need to improve the wiki instead of resorting to old and flawed ways, so you certainly are right in pointing that out. But because I don't speak Romanian, maybe someone who does could find proper sources for this kind of stuff, and update the page with them as needed? --Dynamo128 (talk) 22:56, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
