California State Route 740 shield

Due to the migration to SVG graphics for the shields, routeboxes involving SR-740 shields broke as the route did not exist post-1964. Can someone look into it? --Geopgeop 14:31, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Demotion

C is a bit generous for the history section. --Rschen7754 09:11, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Mid-County Parkway

Since this highway is clearly going to be part of the Mid-County Parkway, per this news story, the MCP article should be merged into this one. Greggens (talk) 00:44, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

No, do not merge the article. If State Route 74 were moved to Mid-County Parkway this would make the overlaps with I-215 and State Route 79 much, much longer since the new route would be moved further northward. Since state and county transportation planners have been trying to avoid this (even proposing alternatives such as the Ethanac Expressway, which would be effectively a straight shot from Lake Elsinore to Hemet via Ethanac Road and new connections, essentially getting rid of the overlap with I-215), it would be premature to say that Mid-County Parkway will “clearly” be part of State Route 74.
