Pharmacy fraternity

[edit]

I removed unsourced content on allegations of misconduct by the school and pharmacy students (suspicions of students cheating on exams, driving under the influence, and harassment, etc). If there are references that support these claims, this information could be included. However, given the nature of the claims, supporting references would be necessary. Just reverted another edit that reincorporated the claims described above. Again, these claims should be supported by references. Any editors have additional thoughts on this subject? Rytyho usa (talk) 23:17, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Change request to page's infobox

[edit]

Can I request an edit to the Provost and Dean section of the page's infobox? We don't currently have a Provost since Wendy Duncan is no longer with the university. And we have more than one Dean within our university. Can we add our President in place of the Provost? Our President is Florence T. Dunn [1].

And can we either add "Mark Okamoto, PharmD" [2] to the Dean section alongside our College of Osteopathic Medicine Dean, Dr. John Graneto, or remove that section altogether? You can see our directory information here [3]

References

Hi Kaleigh, thank you for your comments and suggestions. Do you have any references that indicate Duncan has left the university? I've added the dean and president. In general, independent references are always preferable. In other words, it's always better to use references that are published by authors/groups/organizations other than the subject of the wikipedia article itself. Hi @Rytyho usa: Thank you for the clarification on using independent references. On Duncan's LinkedIn profile, which is publicly accessible, she reports that she left CHSU in August 2020 [1]. Kayleigh at CHSU (talk) 17:16, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Academics Update

[edit]

Yesterday changes to the CHSU College of Pharmacy accreditation status was announced. Can the editors of the Wiki community update the Academics section of the California Health Sciences University?

The 4-year pharmacy program preaccreditation status with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) was withdrawn in 2020 for failure to meet 3 of 25 accreditation standards [2]. CHSU restarted the ACPE accreditation application process for a new, 3-year Doctor of Pharmacy program in 2021, but precandidate status for the new program was denied in 2022 with the option to appeal [3]. CHSU chose not to pursue an appeal.[4] Kayleigh at CHSU (talk) 19:31, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
