Title track

[edit]

Is it worth mentioning that this is the first Blink-182 album with a title track (same song title as an album) on it? --59.22.88.39 (talk) 00:54, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese Bonus Track

Is "Hey I'm Sorry" (or "Hey, I'm Sorry") listed with or without a comma? I don't trust Google's translation ability here. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 18:19, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Review notes

[edit]

It is factually accurate and verifiable.

Is the "She's Out of Her Mind" release date correct? Saw it was recently changed.

yup, that's the date it's getting to alt radio. i'll add a source cause why not (also added for BTD)

This link takes you to some sort of spam site (or at least it takes me there...).

Today this link is fine...

It is reasonably well written.

Why is 18 hours in quotation marks in the following sentence: "The band, as well as Feldmann, would regularly spend "18 hours" in the studio a day, aiming to start and complete multiple songs in that timeframe."

i figured that it would be best since it's a quote from the band themselves. 18 hours in the studio seems like a lot, and while it's not unlikely that they did, it just seems like a far-fetched number, so i found it best to place quotations around it since it's their words, not mine
I talked with some other people, and looked up what I could on the style guidelines, and I think that if you are paraphrasing (such as this case), the quotation marks should be removed. Essentially, if it is a statement such as how many hours they worked, no quotation needed, but if it is a statement on Tom leaving, then it would need quotation marks. What are your thoughts? Kees08 (talk) 06:18, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested rewording of another sentence: " Little work on the album was complete by the time DeLonge spoke..."

done!

Is there something broken in the citations, where it says {{{artist}}}?

fixed -- no one had specified the "artist" in the chart data

I think there is some excessive wikilinking, some with some surprise destinations. Glancing at it: finger in, OB-GYN Kenobi, and Hard links seem unnecessary and do not contribute to the article. You should run through the rest of them for any others; I'll recheck them at the end. Kees08 (talk) 06:18, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Kees08, I agree with the OB-GYN Kenobi part, as it is blatantly obvious as to where that joke is going. I have delinked that one. But I believe the others should stay. An uninformed reader may not get the picture and know that Blink is known for its intentionally sexual connotations. Other than this, everything has been addressed. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 20:30, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Why don't you move hard, which send users to erection, to the word erection which is in the phrase right before it? Also, for the finger in one, I think MOS:EGG applies there. Thoughts? Kees08 (talk) 07:12, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sigh fine. Wiki opinion does trump my own. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 13:54, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It is broad in its coverage.

Would you guys be able to include what Blink's reaction to releasing it on the 183rd day was, if any? Kees08 (talk) 06:18, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I glanced around and couldn't find anything. I saw blink's reaction on a site, and it was not worth putting in the article in my opinion. Kees08 (talk) 16:47, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"The album has sold 236,000 copies in the US as of August 2016." - might as well update this while we are here. Kees08 (talk) 06:18, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This one might not be available. Sales figures are difficult to find and only come around so often, unless there is a massive revelation for non-metal articles that I can find sources for that I've just never seen before. If there were a "punk by numbers" list like "Metal by numbers" on MetalSucks, that'd be awesome, but I don't think there is one. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 10:34, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.

Typo in File:Angels&Airwaves_Hansaring_06_Tom_DeLonge.jpg, should be autograph in the description (I assume, also I don't think you have to fix this for GA).

done!

For the Matt Skiba photo, think about using File:Blink-182_2015-03-22_02.JPG, you can crop it if necessary, but he is a member of Blink in that photo. Your call, author's preference.

i chose that photo of skiba because it was still taken in 2015 -- when he became a blink member -- but i may or may not use the photo you suggested. i think my issue with the one you suggested was that travis is also visible.

Neither of those comments would hold up GA, so passing those categories. Kees08 (talk) 17:48, 1 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Saginaw-hitchhiker: @Yeepsi: The review has arrived, but the majority is tagged in the article, as is the reviewer's way of doing things (just fine, by the way!). Thought I'd give a ping because you seem not to have gotten the message. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 13:41, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

fixed most everything you suggested! thanks! Saginaw-hitchhiker (talk) 17:33, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Saginaw-hitchhiker, Yeepsi, and DannyMusicEditor: Review is complete. Address the tags in the articles and the remaining comments here by either discussing with me further or following the recommendations as-is. The article was pretty outstanding to begin with, good job, anything at this point is probably just me nit picking. Kees08 (talk) 05:15, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Kees08, I have finished the ramaining tags. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 01:37, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyMusicEditor: Yup, I think you just missed one 'when' tag. Just need to take care of the excessive wikilinking (see above), and some more quotation marks. I think the following are unnecessary.

...proceeded to write "28 songs" in a period... ... in the studio for up to "18 hours" a day.

Then we should be 100% good to go. Made two edits as well, let me know if you have any issues with that. Thanks! Kees08 (talk) 05:46, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Would you be able to remove the quotation marks from "18 hours?"

Hey I'm Sorry

[edit]

Is the track "Hey I'm Sorry" a re-worked version of the previous available Japanese version? Maybe I'm just crazy, but I hear a slight different i the vocal mixes. If so, should this be noted in the track listing as a "new version" or something?-- 2001:8003:204A:DC00:6445:65EA:BBAD:4AD6 (talk) 06:29, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
