The following is incorect
"The Catera's basic platform continued in use until September 2006 in the North American Pontiac GTO, and until 2005 in the Holden Commodore and Holden Monaro in Australia. The European Omega was discontinued in 2003."
As noted on the holden commodore page the commodore only borrowed the european styling of the omega. The cars platform is an evolution of a streatched and widened version of a 1980s opel and under the skin shares very little with the omega it looks like. the gto/monaro is based on the commodore and would be larger with a differnt engine, drivetrain, suspension and floorpan setup...not to mention totally differnet interior
- With all due respect, I don't think so. The Engine/drivetrain/suspension are not the chassis, and the relationship between the Catera and the Monaro is well-documented. See http://www.forbesautos.com/reviews/2005/pontiac/gto/feature.html and http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=7360 and many other sources on the Web. Basic platform = chassis in this context - I have added a chassis reference. Tvccs 13:28, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
