Move around to create more logical progression
[edit]Appreciate this is difficult as Scottish government portfolios change often.
Role initially started as Culture minister but, with the way things are looking, will likely be the page for the Net Zero and Energy Secretary. This doesn't really provide a logical train of continuity. The role of the Culture and External Affairs is the common train on this page.
I propose that the recent Constitution/External Affairs/Culture Secretary, Angus Robertson, is moved onto this page. The Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture page can then remain separate with it being noted on that page that the Constitution role merged with Culture.
Economy can then move back to its own page on the recently resurrected Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Gaelic page that is being used for Kate Forbes.
This way another page can be used for Màiri McAllan's Net Zero and Energy portfolio to keep the logical continuity that makes it easier to understand. Fm675 (talk) 16:50, 8 May 2024 (UTC)

- Cabinet Secretary for Wellbeing Economy, Net Zero and Energy → Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, External Affairs and Culture
- Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, External Affairs and Culture → Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, Europe and External Affairs
– This page is primarily about Culture and External Affairs minister and should arguably be titled as such to maintain continuity. Understandably the existing page would have to be changed back to its previous title of Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, Europe and External Affairs, however as that was arguably a split off this role it makes more sense that the Culture and External Affairs role as it exists currently is noted on this page. Would obviously need to make the necessary changes required to bring all pages into line when move is completed. Fm675 (talk) 18:52, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
- Note: this request has been combined with the request at Talk:Cabinet Secretary for the Constitution, External Affairs and Culture, which conflicted with this move request. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 01:01, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- Comment - Obviously I support the move and would also create a new page for the Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero and Energy Fm675 (talk) 10:57, 10 May 2024 (UTC) – Changed to "comment" per WP:RMCOMMENT. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 12:21, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, I missed this discussion when I moved the page, I support this proposal. Grinner (talk) 09:07, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Fm675: I have moved the pages. However, what should now say what and point where isn't clear to me; are you able to make any necessary adjustments? BilledMammal (talk) 00:28, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
- Will perhaps take a day or two but will make the necessary adjustments. Fm675 (talk) 16:03, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
