Joe Chiaro as notable resident of Cañon City, CO
[edit]@68.191.58.173: With this edit you added Joe Chiaro as a notable resident of Cañon City, CO. Do you have any reliable source that confirms this? The inclusion has been reverted here. I would support putting it back if you can find RS for it, but without RS to confirm it, I support its exclusion. --David Tornheim (talk) 04:57, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
@Plazak: I saw you revert here: [1]. I wasn't sure why you had taken a news anchor off the list, until I did a Google search and found no evidence that the person is a resident. Above and at the IP's talk page, I asked the IP editor, if they have any RS for this. Is there a way to have a conversation with an IP editors, or am I wasting my time trying to engage them? --David Tornheim (talk) 04:57, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
- It's up to the one adding the name to document notability. The person lacks a wiki article, and no documentation is supplied. I am not familiar with Mr. Chiaro. Is he a national news anchor, or a news anchor for some local Fox affiliate? I do not consider the title "news anchor" an automatic proof of a person's notability. Regards. Can we take out the PR?
[edit]Is it okay to take this out?
Tourism
[edit]- From Cañon City's Downtown Historic District located in the heart of the city to :the Royal Gorge Bridge, there are many places to see and visit in the area. [citation needed]
It sounds to me like something written by the local Chamber of Commerce. I'm sure that can be said about virtually every town and city throughout the world. Not encyclopedic material in my opinion.
