Further Use
[edit]This was not the only time CSS St. Patrick was used. Though her ultimate fate is unknown (probably scuttled to prevent capture when Mobile fell), some of her history prior to the wars end is known. At one point she was used in an aborted attempt to distract the Union Navy so a blockade runner could escape, and she was also used to smuggle supplies to Spanish Fort during the siege. Mark Ragan wrote a book about American Civil War submarine projects which includes information on the career of the St. Patrick if we need additional information. 12.185.211.194 (talk) 20:14, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
