- Image appropriately licensed
- I don't really see a need to put the commander in the lede
- The Minnesota was not a gunboat
- Comma after North Carolina, Virginia, Nansemond River
- Link gunboat, scuttled on first use, flag of truce boat
- Tell the reader than Rocketts Point is in Richmond
- She had come under Union fire both after and immediately before the attack. awkward regarding chronology
- Rather than say at an unknown time in mid-1864, I'd suggest just saying "in mid-1864"
