Could use some history

[edit]

The article currently has a "context" section, and then some description of the current building, but it could really use some history to flesh out how the library got from the Spanish Civil War to its current state. Tikwriter (talk) 22:06, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"To do" list

[edit]

I notice that the article subject is specifically on the Library, yet I've been developing the section on the original Pavilion in 1937. This leaves the section on the present-day Library rather small. Further, the lead discusses the details of the Library, but these are not yet in the article itself. In short the article section on the Library needs some major development - discussions of the Library's features, collections, facilities, etc. Further, the lead may or may not require a revision to highlight the original Pavilion first (in line with the article structure), or the article may require a major restructuring to discuss the Library at the top of the article, and perhaps a "History" section further down. (I am both unsure and ignorant of the facts and things that are important to make such changes and developments.) Bdushaw (talk) 23:45, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I restructured the article per the above. The starting section on the Library needs considerable development. Though still thinking about it, it seems to me that perhaps the CRAI Library should be its own article - on the greater library system, one section of which would be the Pavilion library, and the Spanish Pavilion should perhaps have its own article, being of great historical interest in its own right.
