Dorchester
[edit]Is this one of the Charleston cases then?
"Another case of coronavirus was confirmed in South Carolina Wednesday morning when a patient tested positive for COVID-19 at a Lowcountry health facility. The Department of Health and Environmental Control confirmed a patient at Summerville Medical Center tested positive, Dorchester County officials said in a news release. The patient is a Charleston County resident who was taken to Summerville Medical Center in a personal vehicle, according to the release."

- Dorchester County's first case was reported today, so it could be that one. I'm not sure exactly how those "moving" cases are counted, but in any case that's a good reason to stick to DHEC's county statistics as the source of truth! --FranksValli (talk) 23:58, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
COVID-19 Extra-DHEC sources
[edit]Just a note that there are cases that DHEC seems not to have confirmed yet (e.g. this one in Sumter County). At first I started including this number in addition to the DHEC numbers in the statistics table. But I realized it will get too unmanageable and confusing, so for the stats table itself, I proposed just keeping to DHEC's numbers. Though if there are reports outside of DHEC, feel free to link to them elsewhere in the article! --FranksValli (talk) 23:53, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
Recovered
[edit]Can we get a recovered case column for South Carolina they have one on the Illinois page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doublel70 (talk • contribs) 12:51, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Doublel70: Whether or not we can have a "recovered" column comes down to whether DHEC publishes that data in their releases or somewhere on their COVID-19 page; if that data is not available to us from a verifiable, reliable source, then it can't be added to the page. If such a source is found, I'd be glad to add it. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 13:20, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
New Section on Epidemiology and Public Health Response
[edit]I am planning on adding a new section on the Public Health response with subheadings on Hospital Capacity, Testing, Contact Tracing, and Modeling and Projections. I may also move the statistics section to the bottom of the page to be in line with other pages. Thoughts or concerns? Prim8acs (talk) 01:41, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Prim8acs: sounds good to me! If there's anything I can help with please let me know. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 15:33, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- @PCN02WPS: Great! I think this page could use more subheadings under impacts (such as impacts on economy, schools, arts, etc.) if anyone wants to help with those Prim8acs (talk) 17:33, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
