WikiProject COVID-19
[edit]I've created WikiProject COVID-19 as a temporary or permanent WikiProject and invite editors to use this space for discussing ways to improve coverage of the ongoing 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic. Please bring your ideas to the project/talk page. Stay safe, --Another Believer (Talk) 17:27, 15 March 2020 (UTC)
Services
[edit]The closing of services in Almaty does not include schools, many or most of which are operating through distant learning (e-mail, Zoom, etc.). Kdammers (talk) 02:32, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
a or the?
[edit]"On 3 April, the Kostanay Region confirmed its first case of the coronavirus, making it a last region to do so" - I assume this should be "the," but I am not sure. Was it among the last or were all others before it? Kdammers (talk) 04:55, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
Map
[edit]The map has two somewhat contradictory legends (And I can't tell by looking at the map, which to my eyes on my screen has a third color code, which one is correct. Kdammers (talk) 10:40, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
Update needed
[edit]Almaty has gone into a second lock-down, including restricting businesses to 20% of staff working on-site and not allowing people over 65 to go out-of-doors. The new restrictions started around 6 July 2020. Some-one should go to authoritative sites to confirm this andthen enter it. Kdammers (talk) 08:37, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
Chart
[edit]Around the first of July, Kazahkstan changed the way infections were counted. A note to this effect should be add to the hart. `37.99.32.210 (talk) 11:30, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
New data
[edit]Tass provides some data: "...since mid-October, restrictive measures were reinforced in several regions of the country." and " Over the past day [ 28 or, possibly, 29 Oct. 2020], doctors in Kazakhstan have identified 268 new cases, ... 120 more than the day before." That brings total cases of infection for Kazakhstan to 111,100." Also, "Over the past eight days, the increase in the number of new cases was in the range of 140-268." Of the population, 0.5% are or have been infected. "...the infection rate over the ...[previous] 24 hours ... [was] 0.0014%. A Kazakhstani interagency commission (unnamed in the article) report 106,059 people having recovered, of whom 176 had done so during the previous day. "The number of deaths due to coronavirus reached 1,835, increasing by five over the past day. In total, as of October 19, 3,309,626 tests for coronavirus were carried out in the country." My note: Since some people have been tested more than once, this figure cannot be used to indicate the number of different people who have been tested. Can someone add appropriate parts of this information to the article, especially the graph? Kdammers (talk)
legibility
[edit]The charts/tables showing new cases and deaths are illegible. the dates are crammed together, even with a wide-screen monitor. Is there some way to spread out the dates? 198.178.31.182 (talk) 23:43, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
