Adding Sections
[edit]Hi, I'm editing this page as part of a class. This is a heads-up that I plan to add a few sections: - discovery - cover how the gene was identified, who discovered it, key papers from that time - mechanism - cover the usual function of the gene in organisms with a functional copy
other things to add: - summarize recent studies of CMAH in cats - evolution - current theories about how and why the human copy is nonfunctional, link to a number of molecular evolution pages (this part is because of the class I'm taking but should be useful/interesting to readers also).
I'll be working on this today and later this week.
