Mafia connections and assassination plots
[edit]I have a few issues with this section of the article. One, I think we need a citation that the CIA and the mob conspired to kill leaders other than Fidel Castro. Two, the NY Times article information was added by an editor who regularly added original research to Wikipedia and misattributed citations to hide his original research. An example of this editor's style can be seen in the alleged quotes from the article, and the editors summary. The editor writes "The CIA urged its agents to use their "propaganda assets" to attack those who didn't agree with the Warren Report." However reading the alleged actual quotes from the articles, the CIA wanted to "employ propaganda assets to answer and refute the attacks of the critics", which places the dispatch in a different context. Without the actual text of the alleged NY Times article or even another citation supporting these assertions, I am tempted to delete this information. Finally, is it a 1997 NY Times article or a 1977 NY Times article. Ramsquire (throw me a line) 20:30, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
