Jeopardy on CFCF
[edit]The reason Jeopardy is most likely not on CFCF is because NBC affillate WPTZ from Plattsburgh/Burlington carries it. This station does serve the Montreal market, making broadcast on CFCF redundant --Raj Fra 21:05, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Bias
[edit]"Back in Montreal, CTV Montreal (formerly CFCF) has always been the number one, top-rated television station for Anglophone Quebeckers."
This whole paragraph is full of bias and was obviously written by a CFCF employee. They even had to put the "(formerly CFCF)" thing that all their press releases have. How cute.
I have accordingly reverted that paragraph back to its original state, minus the shots at CBC and Global.

Image copyright problem with Image:CTV logo.svg
[edit]The image Image:CTV logo.svg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Merge CTV News Montreal
[edit]I believe that CTV News Montreal should be merged into this article. A local newscast is not notable enough for its own article. CTV News Montreal is the only local CTV newscast article on here.--MTLskyline (talk) 03:56, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
- CTV News Montreal is completely notable enough for its own article. It has enough sources and enough information. Just because it is the only local newscast article on here, that is not a reason to merge it. Other notable local newscasts should have their own articles too; no one has taken the time to create them. Creativity97 16:28, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, no, it has nowhere near enough sources to stand alone as its own separate article — very nearly every source in the entire article is a primary one (i.e. the station's own website), and primary sources cannot confer notability on a topic. Television shows, local or otherwise, get articles on the basis of reliable independent sourcing, not the primary variety. Bearcat (talk) 06:37, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
Question. CTV Montreal just used to go by the call numbers CFCF-DT before the switch to digital, right? So wouldn't it make sense to incorporate all the info from that article into the history section? If that's the case, CFCF-DT needs to be stripped and updated, anyway. - Sweet Nightmares 20:13, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
