Proposed Merge

[edit]

I don't support this. This page is specifically about the CD86 compilation, not C86 in general. sparkl!sm hey! 07:27, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Completely inappropriate to merge. This is not a re-issue of C86, but a separate compilation album inspired by it. --Rob Sinden (talk) 09:51, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If it's not appropriate to merge, it is only appropriate to delete. This album has no notability on its own, its only notability is as a reissue, so to speak, of the original. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 17:12, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't appropriate to merge or delete. CD86 is not a reissue of C86 - it's a completely different compilation. It is also notable in its own right - see Pitchfork, Prefix, The Independent, for example.--Michig (talk) 17:25, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it's only a stub consisting of little more than a tracklisting, but as Michig points out, it seems to have significant coverage to meet notability guidelines. No need to delete. --Rob Sinden (talk) 09:29, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the links Michig, I'll use them to actually write an article. Starting with the intro "music from the C86 era" - no it isn't, it's new music of similar styles. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 02:00, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure where you're gleaning that from. "Music from the C86 era" is quite correct - these are not new songs. --Rob Sinden (talk) 11:12, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'd also add the Allmusic review to the list of sources, should anyone need it. --sparkl!sm hey! 14:58, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
