[edit]

How can a CD drive read "backwards" when the CD spins forward all the time? The CD doesn't change its spin direction, right? I'd be glad if one of you could clarify this … it sounds pretty odd, IMHO. Cheers, Regenspaziergang 11:11, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"DVD Copy Protection"

[edit]

This article contains hardly any information regarding how dvd copy protection works, despite claiming information about it in the title and the article's abstract. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.82.62.100 (talk) 23:36, 30 December 2010 (UTC) I believe this article applies both to DVD and CDs but it should be stipulated that DVDs use the same or similar methods of protectionV1v3k 05:39, 24 December 2012 (UTC)User:v1v3k — Preceding unsigned comment added by V1v3k (talkcontribs) [reply]

This is my first real edit of a wikipedia article. I am having problems with some of my audio CDs and ended up researching advice on the Intellectual Property Office (uk) website, hence typed up an interpretation of the Copyright Act 1988 UK. please let me know how I got on.
