Discussion

[edit]

"Along with 60 Minutes, Sunday Morning is considered one of television's highest-quality news shows, and a throwback to the "old guard" CBS style of thoughtful news broadcasting."

Eliminating the first four words, due to the fact of these words being (see)BS. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.146.185.3 (talkcontribs).

Wikipedia feature

[edit]

I removed the "Notable broadcasts" section, as per Wikipedia:Avoid self-references since the only content in it was a self-reference to Wikipedia, asserting that Wikipedia's inclusion in the broadcast made the broadcast notable. --Jtalledo (talk) 16:31, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, I added the mention to Wikipedia:Wikipedia on TV and radio, where it is more appropriate. --Jtalledo (talk) 16:32, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, but it wasn't just a "reference" to wikipedia, it was a whole story about it, including critism and interviews of its founders. I think that is noteworthy. -- Suso 18:46, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the "reference" part refers to Wikipedia articles referring to Wikipedia itself, not outside sources referring to Wikipedia. --Jtalledo (talk) 20:00, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sunday Morning vs CBS News Sunday Morning

[edit]

Why is this article called CBS News Sunday Morning and not just simply Sunday Morning? The article for 60 Minutes is not called CBS News 60 Minutes, and yet both Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes are both part of the CBS News section.--Gciriani (talk) 17:54, 31 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:COMMONNAME. It's current naming is the one used most... same goes for 60 Minutes. Corkythehornetfan 00:41, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the guideline. Therefore we should change the title of the article to CBS Sunday Morning. If one Googles CBS News 60 Minutes, 60 Minutes, CBS News Sunday Morning and Sunday Morning, the inference is clear that even at CBS they call it CBS Sunday Morning and not CBS News Sunday Morning. Anyway there is already a redirect from CBS Sunday Morning, so the change is not going to be a disruption.--Gciriani (talk) 01:24, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Gciriani: Request a move and I'll support this article's renaming. Corkythehornetfan 01:00, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Controversy"

[edit]

This section seems to be one person's argument/quibble with one single story. 2601:282:1300:296:5AE:C96B:33CE:2646 (talk) 18:27, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The show also frequently fails to employ journalistic rigor in vetting facts in its political pieces. musant (talk) 02:32, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
