Manchester Guardian
[edit]It is better to use this form since the title of the newspaper did not become The Guardian until August 1959.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 16:13, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Objections to the Great War
[edit]Heads up for me to add in http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/02/sp-first-world-war-manchester-guardian-uk-neutrality Fromthehill (talk) 11:22, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
Clarification needed
[edit]Some "clarification needed" tags have been added to:
- That December Scott was regularly at Walton Heath where he promoted Lord Northcliffe's companionship to advocate Unionism[clarification needed] and Asquith's fall from power.[1] His espousal of Lloyd George's opportunism has perplexed historians, who he complained was the war-monger.[clarification needed]
Can anyone help reword to explain what this means?— Rod talk 19:26, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- As there has been no response I have removed the unclear section. If anyone can write it more clear (and support with suitable citations) then please put it back.— Rod talk 20:18, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

Robert Dell
[edit]I think the Robert Dell that the article links to is not the correct individual. Dunarc (talk) 16:17, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Dunarc: You are right, Robert Dell (socialist) is intended. The other Robert Dell, besides being a man of the cloth not of the press, was yet to be born. DuncanHill (talk) 11:33, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
His politics and relations with Government
[edit]I’ve added a reference to support the first four sentences in the second paragraph of this section. The reference is “The Balfour Declaration: The Origins of the Arab-Israeli Conflict” by Jonathan Schneer. The cited pages describe the role of Scott in Weizmann’s acquaintance to Lloyd George and the ‘all hands’ meeting, with Scott included, to discuss the ‘Herbert Samuel Memorandum’.
I would also think that fixing the link to the page of the Memorandum is more than proper, however my attempt to do this was undone and I leave this to more experienced Wikipedians. 109.186.99.95 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:11, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
