[edit]People keep removing the image of Célestin Montcocol that I have added. I would appreciate it if was made available. Thank you! Huge Tonka (talk) 02:55, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Huge Tonka: Can you please elaborate on the source of the image beyond the information already on the Commons page? Because it doesn't appear genuine, in my opinion, but rather more like a modern photo that has had a filter put on it. Uhai (talk · contribs) 03:02, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- I don’t have a source for the image as I found it in an old family album. I am distantly related to Célestin Montcocol. The reason the image looks like a new picture with a filter on it is cause I digitally enhanced it. Huge Tonka (talk) 03:07, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- I suppose I could send you a picture of the graduation album from the École des Arts in 1898 that’s been passed through our family. Huge Tonka (talk) 03:10, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Huge Tonka: That would be a great help with respect to its authenticity and to oppose its deletion on Commons. Uhai (talk · contribs) 03:21, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- I wouldn't waste time on a teenager trying to pull our leg. A child can see that this is not a picture from 1898. And it's clearly the same fellow as the one on this image, which the same "contributor" is spamming a lot of small wikipedias with. This is nothing but vandalism, really. —IJzeren Jan Uszkiełtu? 18:25, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
- I appreciate your concern over the legitimacy of the image and I understand your preoccupations. As I stated previously, I will provide evidence of the graduation book from which I have gotten the picture from. I am also glad that you think I look similar to my ancestor and I am proud to do so. As for my “spamming” of other Wikipedia pages, I am a musician and I’m taking advantages of the less severe guidelines on smaller Wikipedias in order to index my information for people searching my music. Best regards! Huge Tonka (talk) 22:31, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
