New 'New Feature' Section
[edit]The current section is presented as a history of the changes, I would like to make a more concise section listing new features without the history of back-and-forth. Since this is a lot of work and I won't do it in a single edit, I will leave the old 'New Feature' section as a temporarily very verbose history section. We can trim the history to something more consise when we have a proper new features section Carewolf (talk) 20:33, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
- OK. "The following lists may be incomplete" is inappropriate, to my eyes. If it may be incomplete, just don't claim completeness. This is a Wikipedia article about a recently-active standard, it is prone to be out-of-date and incomplete. Also, make sure that punctuation is placed before references. N4860 being the final draft version
[edit]In the External Links, we have:
"N4860, the final draft version of the standard."
I tried to cite N4859 in support of this, as it states that N4860 is considered the final draft and that N4861 is considered the first working draft of C++23. But because the External Links come after the references section and the use of reflist, I was not able to get this citation to appear in the references list as it normally would, and had to abandon my attempt.
Is there a safe way to add a citation to something in External Links and have the citation appear in the main references list along with the others? Ajm 80386 (talk) 16:17, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
