Contested deletion
[edit]This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it is entirely based on independently-produced articles from major outlets like the New York Times and other materials that have been produced on Byron Lewis, an important figure in American multicultural marketing.
This page does not promote anything, not a company (Lewis sold his company, UWG, more than a decade ago), product (it only mentions advertisers he worked for), group, services (none), person or point of view (the page merely attempts to document details about the subject's life, and express what made him stand out in his field).
Several pieces of text, that might be misconstrued as promotional, have been removed or edited to further ensure that the page is grounded in the most important factual information. If there is additional language or sections of this page that should be changed or removed, they are encouraged to be edited accordingly. But the page itself deserves to remain, as it is foundationally encyclopedic in nature for a figure with cultural importance in a specific industry, and who is mentioned in other Wikipedia articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.73.158.110 (talk) 19:27, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
